PJL TARGETS grew out from a worrying observation :
until the mid 70's, the law enforcement officers were training on black and white targets.
These fixed targets had no human forms and were generally causing confusion between the arm and the person.
These training sessions were not preparing the law enforcement officers to give an adequate answer in real life.

Given this situation, Francis Dorao, chief inspector at the Investigation Police in Liège, was determined to solve this problem. He could manage to
combine his know-how and his knowledge in the world of comics to create original human-shaped targets.

For fans of comics, you will be glad to know that famous Belgian strip illustrators, such as Malik
or Piroton, took a part in the achievement of the original drawings that are seen as the ancestors of the 25 current models.

Proud of its roots, PJL targets is a family business that rely on local Belgian production.
